Pakistan and Korea played to a 2-2 draw and the Koreans will now play the waiting game to see if they get to play the bronze medal playoff tomorrow.

Pakistan and Korea were tied on 4 points each before the match started and a win for either side would have assured them of a place in the 3/4th placing playoff.

The point thus puts Korea in fourth position and should India fail to defeat Malaysia, then Korea will take on either Malaysia, New Zealand or Australia for the bronze.

Both the teams were rather cautious in the opening stages though Pakistan had the lion share of possession.

Pakistan forced a penalty corner in the 10th minute but Muhammad Imran's attempt hit a defenders foot. From the ensuing penalty corner, Muhammad Irfan sent his attempt wide.

Korea won a penalty corner in the 16th minute but Nam Hyun Woo failed to get his shot on target. And from the counter attack Pakistan struck to take the lead in the 17th minute.

Abdul Hassem Khan broke through the left and sent in a teasng reverse stick cross that eluded the entire defence and fell nicely for Salman Hussain to tap into goal with Korean keeper Lee Myung Ho beaten.

Korea started the second half strongly and forced two penalty corners, in the 37th and 39th minutes.

Off the second penalty corner, Hyun Hye Sung sent in a drag flick into the roof of the net, giving Pakistani keeper Imran Butt no chance at all and Korea were on level terms.

However Pakistan were undeterred and went ahead in the 47th minute when Abdul Haseem Khan deflected in a cross from the left.

But an own goal by Muhammad Irfan in the 53rd minute made it all square once again.

Korea the forced three successive penalty corners in the 57,58th and 59th minutes but failed to score.

Pakistan came close in the 59th minute when Shafqat Rasool had the goal at his mercy but failed to find the back of the net.
